TRUUD Privacy Policy
Collection of Personal Data
We (The TRUUD Research Team) have a legal duty to protect any information we collect from you. If you provide us with information about you, this will be acknowledged as your consent to TRUUD collecting and using that personal data, as described in this statement. If you do not agree with this statement, please do not provide us with your personal data.
We only collect and hold personal data (provided by you) in accordance with this privacy statement. This will happen if you:

- Sign up to a newsletter
We will use the information you provide to us so that we can deal with your request appropriately. The information will only be used by the TRUUD research team for this purpose. We will keep your data securely for the duration of the TRUUD programme. This is a five-year research programme, expected to end in September 2024. After the end of the research programme we will ensure that your information is destroyed.
We will ensure that all personal data you supply is held in accordance with relevant UK data protection regulations. We do not sell or otherwise transfer personal data to any other third parties.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us to remove your details from our database at any time. You also have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances. You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you. Please let us know via our website if you wish to make a request regarding your data.
Cookies
Our website uses ‘cookies’ which are text files placed on your computer when you visit a site. These files help us to understand how you use our website. Cookies don’t collect personal data from your computer, only data created by your browsing. Some cookies remain on your computer after you leave the website; these are called ‘persistent’ cookies. We use this information in aggregated form to help improve the site and TRUUD’s communication efforts.
